April 15th,2020 Jason was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung cancer. Since then Jason went through Radiation on his ribs and Chemo for 8 months, after chemo he went on Immunotherapy and has been on that since October 2020. 
 
On July 1st, 2022 he had a seizure for the first time ever which scared us and he spent 5 days in ICU while the doctors figured out what was happening. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to his brain and the doctors found 4 tumors. 
 
The new plan is that Jason will start radiation on July 13th and do that for 10 days. Once radiation is done, we will get another scan and discuss the results with his Oncologist to figure out future plans. 
There is a war ahead that we will battle each and every day, and with your support...as Jason always says "we got this shit"  :-)

Jessica was able to meet and work with this great organization called Survivors of War (SOW) at Country Thunder that helps to prevent veteran suicide, fight and heal PTS(d), depression, and more. They not only serve veterans, police & fire, and human trafficking survivors...but they help Cancer survivors as well so of course it's a great partnership.
